When a family is in Bridge Communities, they’re utilizing every resource they can to ensure they’re saving for a bright, self-sufficient future. They’re often using local food pantries and SNAP benefits (food stamps) to make ends meet. But, there’s a lot of things that they need—just like all of us do—that can’t be purchased with SNAP.
You can help a Bridge family by supporting the Bridge Communities Supply Closet! At one of our apartment buildings, we collect, store and distribute the following items for Bridge families to make sure no one has to go without these necessities:
1) Toilet Paper
2) Paper towels
3) Liquid hand soap
4) Laundry detergent
5) Dish soap
6) Ziploc bags (sandwich & quart size)
7) Kleenex
8) Body Wash
9) Spray Bathroom cleaner
10) Plastic wrap
You may already know that Women in Business is partnering with Bridge Communities to provide three months of housing this year to a homeless family rebuilding their life and working toward a stronger future. But, did you know all the resources that Bridge families gain access to through your support?
In addition to providing them with three months of housing, Women in Business is also ensuring that this homeless family will be connected to employment coaching, tutoring and educational assistance, counseling, afterschool activities, parenting classes, nutritional workshops, mentoring, case management and more.
Thank you for helping a Bridge family break the cycle of homelessness!
